Johanna Konta

Great Britain will play their first Fed Cup home tie in 26 years when Johanna Konta and co take to the court at the University of Bath from February 6-9.

Anne Keothavong’s team, which also includes Katie Boulter, Heather Watson, Harriet Dart and Katie Swan, will be looking to earn a place in April’s World Group II play-offs, a stage they have reached in four of the last seven years without ever managing to win and secure promotion.

Last year GB lost 3-2 in Japan meaning they must compete again in Europe/Africa Zone Group I in 2019 – basically the third tier of the women’s ‘World Cup of Tennis’.

At least this year they will have home advantage (matches will be played on an indoor hardcourt surface) and they have been drawn in the same group as Hungary, Greece and Slovenia.

The winner of the pool will progress to a play-off match against the other pool winner to determine which nation goes into the World Group II play-off draw.

Here are all the details you need to know regarding the action in Bath.
