The 2020 Fed Cup Finals will take place from April 14-19. The match schedule is as follows:

Format

4 groups of 3 teams – winners of each advance to semi-finals

All ties made up of 2 singles (second-ranked players meet first, then top-ranked players) followed by 1 doubles. All matches are best-of-three sets.

Doubles rubbers played with no-ad scoring, with the third set a first-to-10 match tie-break. The exception comes in the final when the doubles will be the best-of-three tie-break sets, still with no-ad scoring)

Team nominations

The deadline for player nominations by the 12 qualified teams is March 16.

2021 qualification

Teams finishing 1st & 2nd in 2020 qualify for the 2021 finals

Teams finishing 3rd to 10th in 2020 will compete in the 2021 Qualifiers

Teams finishing 11th & 12th will be relegated to the 2021 zonal groups (week-long round-robin format with eight teams progressing to the play-offs in April)
